“The Agreement on Technical Cooperation Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Japan” will be signed on 13th October 2020 in Ankara.

Our relations with Japan with which we enjoy long-standing friendship ties have been developing rapidly on the basis of strategic partnership established in 2013. Japan is currently one of our biggest trade partners in East Asia. Technical cooperation is a vital aspect of our economic relations. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which has been operating in our country since 1959, is significantly contributing to the endeavours in this field. The agreement is expected to give momentum to the technical cooperation activities and projects of JICA in Turkey.
