Seyfi Onur Sayın, Consul General, was born in Ankara in 1982.

He finished primary school at Acıpayam Cumhuriyet, his secondary education at Denizli Anatolian High, and high school at Aydın Adnan Menderes Anatolian.

Soon after graduating from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations in 2005, he started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Between 2006 and 2007, he worked as an Attaché at the Department for Eastern Europe Affairs. Having completed his military service in 2008, he transiently worked as an Attaché at the Department for Multilateral Economic Affairs. An Attaché and Third Secretary at the Turkish Embassy in Bahrain (2008-2010), a Vice Consul and later Consul at the Turkish Consulate General in Chicago (2010-2013), Chief of Section at the Department for Middle East (Syria-Lebanon) (2013-2015), Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Athens (2015-2019) and Head of Department at the Cabinet of the Special Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (2019-2021), Mr. Sayin, is now serving as Consul General of Türkiye in Manchester since 1st September 2021. He is married and has a daughter.
