The Fifth Joint Strategic Planning Group Meeting, a sub-organ of the Turkish-Russian High Level Cooperation Council (HLCC), will be held in Alanya on 1 December 2016 under the joint chairmanship of H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and H.E Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

During the meetings, the sides will have a comprehensive exchange of views on bilateral issues, including the stage arrived in the normalization process, and current regional and international developments.

The meeting will also prepare the HLCC to be held in Russia in the beginning of 2017 under the joint chairmanship of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, and H.E Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
