H.E. Borge Brende, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway will pay an official visit to Turkey on 12 January 2016 upon the invitation of H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and on this occasion attend the VIII. Ambassadors Conference.

During the bilateral contacts between H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and H.E. Borge Brende all aspects of Turkish-Norwegian relations will be discussed. Moreover, the sides will exchange views on current regional and international issues and in particular, Syria and Iraq.

On the occasion of the visit, the guest Foreign Minister will be received by H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey and H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Deputy Prime Minister. In addition, H.E Borge Brende will come together with H.E. Volkan Bozkır, Minister of EU Affairs, and H.E. Naci Ağbal, Minister of Finance.
