We have learned with great sorrow that according to initial reports, 6 people lost their lives and many were injured in a suicide bomb attack perpetrated against a police station in Afghanistan's Logar Province yesterday (6 August) and that 17 people lost their lives in military helicopter accident in Zabul Province.

We strongly condemn this terrorist attack in Logar. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives both in the suicide attack and in the helicopter accident, convey our condolences to their families and hope for a speedy recovery for the wounded.

On this sad occasion, we once again reiterate that Turkey will continue to stand by the friendly and brotherly people and the Government of Afghanistan in their fight against terrorism and maintain cooperation in this field.
