We have learned with great sorrow that many people, most of them students were killed or injured, and some students have been taken hostage during a terrorist attack perpetrated against a school in Peshawar, capital city of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in the early hours of 16 December.

We strongly condemn this terrorist attack targeting the peace, security and internal stability of brotherly Pakistan. We wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives in this heinous attack, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. Our foremost wish is that the operations launched upon the attack will be successful in rescuing all hostages safe and sound.

Turkey will resolutely maintain its support to the struggle of brotherly Pakistan against terrorism and its solidarity with the Government and the people of Pakistan.
