We welcome the successful holding of the elections for the House of Representatives in Libya on 25 June. We congratulate the Libyan authorities for organizing the elections in a free and transparent manner.

We believe that these elections constitute an important step towards the completion of democratic transition in Libya.

We wish that the House of Representatives will become a new ground for the settlement of issues through dialogue and contribute to the achievement of prosperity and stability that the Libyan people deserve.

Turkey will continue to stand by the brotherly and friendly people of Libya in their struggle for stability, prosperity and democracy.
